St Jean d’Aulps is close to one of the largest ski domains in the world with over 650km of pistes.
It is a typical alpine village with pretty wooden houses, cattle with bells, excellent walks and scenery. It is handy for Switzerland and only an hour from Geneva airport which is served by many low cost carriers.
The closest ski station, La Grande Terche is only 1km from the apartment and the extensive slopes of Avoriaz (15 minutes away) and Morzine
(20 minutes away) allow access to Les Portes du Soleil.

The apartment is situated on the third and fourth floors of an attractive block very close to the local ski station, La Grande Terche, and within walking distance of the village.
There is a Champion supermarket a short drive away and various shops in the village including two excellent bakeries. There are numerous restaurant and bars in the village, at La Grande Terche, in Morzine and in the nearby villages.
St Jean d’Aulps is a delightful and exciting base for holidays at all times of the year.

In summer there are excellent open air swimming pools and lakes at Montriond, Morzine and Les Gets as well as adventure parks and many other activities to keep children amused. The ski lifts are open for walkers and mountain bikers and the mountains are beautiful for walking on, riding on or sun bathing!
St Jean D’Aulps is a good base from which to explore the Haute Savoie and Savoie areas. Lac Leman is only 30mins drive away and can be explored by car or by boat⁄paddle steamer.
Yvoire, a beautiful old town absolutely covered in flowers, Evian with its Casinos, fountains and spas, Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux and many more towns are all situated on the lake.
Annecy with its glorious lake, parks, riverside restaurants and shops is also within an hours drive.
